BIO-TECH Network Exchange Sunday 16th - Wednesday 19th February 2003 Colchester

The Bio-Technology content area will explore the possibilities that new technologies offer the human body, in terms of repair, enhancement and extension, for example, genetics, artificial intelligence and implant technology. The artistic use of scientific knowledge and processes gives the possibility for demystification of new biology in the public realm.

Future Physical will explore this research area through professional debates between artists, scientists and technologists. Surrounding a network exchange point between Sunday 16th and Wednesday 19th February 2003, there will be a number of commissioned art/science works, a centrepiece international co-production and public education workshops. <<more>>
