The programme has two layers:
Over
30 events for the public in various locations in East
England: in Norwich, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Great
Yarmouth, Colchester and Chelmsford. Including participatory
installations, generative web sites, virtual environments,
reactive objects, innovative research projects, telematic
club events, interactive performances, marketplaces
and equipment demos.
Professional networking and development opportunities
for specialists: artists, scientists, industry and business,
academics and the public to exchange and view existing
developments and innovations. Including working groups,
workshop and educational projects, apprenticeship schemes,
mentoring collaborations, exchange and networking opportunities,
process demos, prototype sharings plus ongoing commissions
for artists.
For
artists interested in getting involved in Future Physical,
register
to receive updates and mailings on further commissions
and professional development opportunities.
Many
of the events will be webcast to a global audience.
The programme also includes the V-You
project, which will allow East England residents to
choreograph dances featuring their virtual selves and
the Creative
User Research, where we will explore the blurring
of boundaries between observation and participation
within new forms of digital artworks.
