Colchester Arts Centre
Sharing, discussion and exchange around four main themes:

  • Biomimetics: interactivity and digital growth processes
  • Global Systems: tracking, mapping and data collection
  • Nature Works: artworks and community in natural/rural environments
  • Future Buildings: technology developments and eco architecture.

These themes are reflected in the commissioned works and with guest artists involved in the discussion and debate within the working groups.

AFTERNOON | EXHIBITION VISIT - gallery open until 8pm

Also an opportunity to visit the BIO-TECH and ECO-TECH Future Physical commissions at firstsite. An exhibition of Future Physical commissions ranging from virtual online environments to reactive objects around the themes of bio-technology and eco-technology.

Featuring works by Jane Prophet and Neil Theise, Stanza, Philip Warnell, Catherine Watling, Rachel Wingfield and Japanese new media artist, Masaki Fujihata.


21.00 - 02.00| CLUSTER CLUB NIGHT
Colchester Arts Centre

An eclectic cutting edge club night featuring exploratory DJs, VJ's, digital and live performers. DJ Marshall Jefferson, Frankie the Robot and Ambienttv.net (Mukul).

Visuals around BIO and ECO-TECH themes of body, technology, science and environment from Raya, 2 BIT TV, People Like Us and commissioned artists Stanza and Catherine Watling. Plus CellBytes - live bytes of dance/ performance.

Also a chance to see a radical new chat and gaming environment in action and talk online with Sara Diamond one of the leading producers in web design & new media.
