Generator
Colchester Arts Centre presents Generator, a series
of 'self-generating projects', incorporating digital
media, instructive and participation pieces, drawing
machines, experimental literature and music technologies.
The artist creates a process such as a set of natural
language rules, a computer programme, a machine or other
procedural intervention which is then set in motion
unsupervised. The works develop over time or indefinitely,
often through interaction with the visitor.
Generator
is organize by Spacex and Star, with support from i-dat
(The institute of Digital Art & Technology) and
The National Touring Programme of The Arts Council of
England.
